History
In 1857, Franz Erasmus von Furtenbach founded the Furtenbach Company in the city of Wiener Neustadt. They produced colophonium, turpentine oil, wagon oils, brewery pitch and other resinous substances. These were sold in all countries of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
